Welcome to my blog! I’m Laurel. On this page I hope to share my musings about hockey and life with you.
I’m passionate about hockey, especially the Carolina Hurricanes. I also love languages and speak several. One of my hopes is to enable English speaking hockey fans to learn more about the European players you enjoy watching so much. I plan to cover European NHL and AHL players, and bring you content from the KHL, Sm Liiga and other European leagues as well. Though I love hockey, I am also passionate about a wide variety of other topics, hence the life part.

I live in Helsinki, Finland and am a graduate student at the University of Helsinki. I have a Finnish guide dog named Routa, and we share a lot of interesting adventures together, many of which I want to share with you!
